Full list of stores as electronics chain confirms over 70 locations to close (2024)

A POPULAR electronics and furniture retailer is closing nearly half its locations nationwide.

Conn's HomePlus has been operating for 134 years, but due to bankruptcy woes, it was forced to cut down.

Conn's is a home goods and essentials chain specializing in furniture, mattresses, appliances, and electronics.

The store operates in 15 states and employs over 4,000 workers.

Conn's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a Texas court on June 26.

Conn's bought out W.S. Badco*ck, another furniture company based in Florida, last year, but the deal wasn't enough to prevent the massive closures.

Conn's is based in Texas but operates locations across Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Florida is shutting down 18 locations in Port Richey, Pinellas Park, Tampa, Bradenton, Ocala, Orlando, Altamonte, Orange City, Kissimmee, Daytona Beach, Melbourne, West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Hialeah, Hollywood, and Jacksonville.

Alabama is closing one location in Birmingham, and Mississippi is closing two stores in Jackson and Southaven.

Georgia is closing two locations in Newnan and Stone Mountain.

Meanwhile, South Carolina is closing three locations in Florence, Rock Hill, and North Charleston.

Two stores in Charlotte, one in Greensboro, and one in Raleigh, North Carolina, will be shutting their doors

In Oklahoma, stores in Oklahoma City and two locations in Tulsa are shutting down.

Arizona is closing seven locations, including multiple stores in Tucson, Chandler, Tempe, Phoenix, and Yuma.

Colorado Springs, Aurora, Englewood, Arvada, Denver, and Fort Collins stores are closing in Colorado.

In Louisiana, customers are saying goodbye to stores in Alexandria, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Monroe, Houma, and Slidell.

Tennessee is closing stores in Memphis, Madison, and Knoxville, while Virginia is closing locations in Colonia Heights, Richmond, Portsmouth, Hampton, and Virginia Beach.

In Conn's home state of Texas, nine locations, including Dallas, Houston, Webster, Austin, Fort Worth, Lewisville, Texarkana, and Wichita Falls, are closing their doors.

All closing locations are holding massive sales to eliminate all of their products.

A total of 71 locations are closing out of 553 stores.

The massive closure comes as shares of the electronics store have fallen over 80%.

Conn's Inc. announced in late June that they received a delinquency notification letter from Nasdaq after they failed to report their quarterly earnings.

The U.S. Sun contacted Conn's HomePlus for comment but did not immediately hear back.
