Summary Of PositionThe Senior Permitting Manager, supporting our Architecture and Engineering as well as our Regional Architecture business units or all of our business units, you will be responsible for managing a permitting team representing Core States Group and its clients with local, state, and federal governing agencies. You will be responsible for communicating agency compliance requirements to the project team and developing professional associations with regulatory authorities. Your role consists of being able to communicate directly with Clientele, accurately communicating Client and agency requirements to the project team, provide guidance to Permitting Managers and Coordinator personnel. You will work mostly independently while supporting our engineers, architects, and construction professionals as we work through the regulatory process.

You can demonstrate an understanding of architectural, civil, electrical, landscape, planning and structural design processes from schematic design through construction. Responsibilities
Oversee entitlement and permitting applications for projects within the energy industry, restaurants, financial institutions, retail, and many others.
Provide quality review results of application submittals with the overall project team.
Work with regulatory personnel to submit and track entitlement/planning and construction permit applications.
Visit local municipalities to submit and/or obtain necessary documentation as necessary.
Provide liaison services between Core States Group, Clients, and all Agency representatives.
Monitor each stage of the regulatory approval process, facilitate project requirement discussions, and track and communicate deadlines with the project team.
Provide status updates to your supervisor, clients and internal employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma required. Additional education a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of permit coordination and/or project coordination with an engineering, architectural or construction firm.
Experience with energy projects, commercial development or construction services a plus.
A general understanding of the development industry is preferred.
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Monday.com).
Demonstrated familiarity with local codes and ordinances.
TeamYou will work with a team of Architects, Designers and Engineers. You will report to the Director of Permitting.
Work Location:This can either be a remote role or hybrid if located near one of our Core States Group offices. You may be asked to travel at times possibly 5/10% of the time.
